Oct. 3, Thursday: Gardening & Lunch.

Lunch on Thursday, Oct. 3.
Cathy and I fear we have gone from being gourmets to being gorgers! So, we are cutting back. Remember all those meals I have told you about and shown you photos of? All that wine, cheese, bread?? Remember all those croissants and petit pain au chocolate?? All that pasta?? Well, no more!!

Debi’s lunch. Note the composition. Particularly note the placement of the red tomato on the green plate (and the complementary colors). Is everything here essential to dietary health? Essential to a satisfying work of art? Would you further simplify this lunch? Am I still indulging myself too much?

Cathy’s lunch. How about this composition? Particularly note the position of the red tomato on the green plate. Do you prefer this placement or the placement of Debi’s tomato? Do you miss the table hinge? Would you minimize Cathy’s lunch further? Cathy and I are both considering further minimization of ourselves, after all the fine food we have been gorging on! Please send us comments letting us know which tomato position you feel works best.
I prefer the simplicity of Cathy’s lunch composition but agree with Martha. You need a few more calories in order to survive!
I think the table hinge adds an intriguing note. The tomato position is pleasing to the eye; think you need to add some things for your lunch, however! Minimalism can be taken too far when it comes to food, especially when you’ve been doing all that exercising. Hear, hear 🙂
Definitely without the hinge…the last foto: “unhinged”? Very cuisine minceur I would love to work in that garden! See you soon, Elizabeth
