Art Mora NJ: Grand Opening Exhibition: Art Blossom
Gallerist Sunny Shin, director of Art Mora at 547 W. 27th St. in Chelsea NYC, has opened a second gallery, Art Mora NJ, at 222 Main St. in Ridgefield Park, NJ. The Grand Opening Exhibition, Art Blossom, will run April 18 – May 14, 2016. The opening reception was held last Saturday, April 30th, from 5-7 p.m. Artists included are: Seongmin Ahn, Orlando Bofill, Philippe Halaburda, Daru-Junghyang Kim, Heesook Kim, Eunkyung Lee, Renee Magnanti, Bill Pangburn, Unhee Park, Cecelia Whittaker-Doe, and me, Debi Pendell. The Dexter Mason Jazz Band played wonderfully.
I was especially pleased to meet several artists who I didn’t know and have the opportunity to talk with them about their work. Guests engaged me in conversation about my work, asking excellent questions and providing interesting insights. There was a big turnout – more than what you see in these photos, which were taken early in the evening. Once things got swinging, both Carl and I were too busy to remember to keep photographing.
An artist residency program is just starting up at Art Mora NJ and there are a few photos of the studio space, intended to be shared by two artists. Also, much to my surprise, there is a flower shop!! And more exhibition space in the flower shop.
An exciting evening. My thanks to the amazing Sunny Shin.

So excited to see the show, I neglected to take any photos of the outside of the new gallery! So here is my first one, Carl in front of me walking into the gallery.

In the center, in the black dress, Sunny Shin, the director of Art Mora Chelsea and Art Mora NJ. A truly inventive and energetic force, with a big heart for art!

Talking with artist Philippe Halaburda, with the Dexter Mason Jazz Band playing behind us. They were wonderful.

This couple had such good questions and excellent insights. I enjoyed talking with them about my work.
Looks like a wonderful place. Congratulations.
